Laceration of the Face in Urgent Care Clinic

We saw a 4-year-old child with a laceration of the forehead from an accident in the school. Dr. Usha Jain checked the patient immediately and found no signs of concussion.

The patient had a small cut on forehead which was sutured by 6-0 nylon. The patient didn’t cry or move at all. Dr. Jain had an amazing story of a mosquito coming to the patient and involved the child to concentrate on blowing the mosquito away. The patient concentrated on that and did very well.

It is an important to fix a laceration as painless as possible specially for a child.
